Kartik Salvi is an entrepreneur, teacher and an integral member of the  MA Academy of education, Udaipur. 

Kartik Salvi was born and brought up in Udaipur, Rajasthan. He is a teacher by profession, working in the MA Academy of education for the last five years with his elder brother, who started this coaching institute. 

Kartik completed his education from Udaipur only and did graduation in commerce. When Kartik started working in the academy, he did not join as a teacher, rather he used to look after the finance and management of the institute. Then gradually he started to teach the commerce students, then also helped the MBA aspirants and finally started teaching maths to classes ninth and tenth also. 

They did not get any profit during the initial three years of their institute, says Kartik, because of them not being financially very sound, and for this reason, they could not spend money on the promotion and publicity of the academy. They also had to face many issues regarding the teaching faculties for they were not able to meet their needs. He says that one of the main reasons for their difficult times was that they did not have much idea about business, the thing which they knew was only teaching, and it was not sufficient for them to run a coaching institute. So, slowly they began to learn from their mistakes, and along with hard work, they started doing smart work. Now their institute is in a far better position. They have started providing various scholarships for those bright students who come from the unprivileged sections of our society. Along with this also provide fifty percent relaxation in fee for the girl students and provide free of cost teaching in various schools also. 

While talking about the problems he faced during the lockdown, Kartik says that the people related to private coaching institutes had to face serious difficulties. When they did not have a single student, they decided to shut down their institute, but their parents motivated them and to keep hope, and when many students also asked them to not shut the academy, they got encouraged. During that period, they adopted the mode of online teaching through various platforms. 

According to Kartik, a good teacher is not only who gives knowledge but is the one who imparts knowledge with motivation, and the teacher must never lose patience. He doesn’t see his job as a source of income, rather he enjoys his work and makes sure to make the teaching-learning process an interactive task.

Other than teaching, Kartik likes traveling, trekking, he also has an inclination towards sports and video games. His favorite quote is, “hauslon ki tarkash me koshisho ka vo teer zinda rakho, haar jao chahe zindagi me sab kuch lekin firse jeetne ki ummeed zinda rakho”.
