“Life is too short to take it seriously!” - Having run a cafe that was the heart of the youth to being one the first few Date planners, Agrata is beautifully lighting up the entrepreneurial world.
Agrata comes from a family of a businessman, where her mother and father run a famous computer teaching center by the name IICT, Agrata Dhaker was Born and brought up in a well-known entrepreneur family of Udaipur, Agrata is exploring and excelling in her new venture daily.other and a twin sister. Remembering her childhood memories she became nostalgic and shares a certain glimpse from her friendship. She adds to this that Udaipur is a small though mesmerizing city to explore around. She has done a triple switch in schooling from The Study to MMPS and back to The Study. Then she pursued engineering from The Pacific Institute of Engineering. Then she left for Mumbai to pursue MBA from a very reputed college. After getting an MBA degree she had received many job offers from big companies, but she rejected all of them to fulfill her dream. She had a very unique idea in her mind, to initiate a new venture, that was of a Date planning startup. She says there are Event Planners, Wedding Planners but there is none in the market to plan a date for a couple. Moreover, she tells us the importance of a date in a person’s life and explains the specialty of it. Then in the year 2015, she landed in the Mumbai market to plan dates for people. Surprisingly, people were flattered by this startup and went crazy to plan a date from The Enchanted Affairs. She tells us the struggle she faced while starting this, as many people told her that she is not doing a good business and coming from a highly educated family, she should not overlook her education qualifications for the sake of a new business like this. But she stood very firm with her concept and dream, did not listen to any, and devoted her 100% to fulfill it. And today she proudly says that The Enchanted Affair has planned over 100+ dates in the past 5 years which ranged from Rs. 5000 to 2.5 Lakh. After seeing positive feedback from the Mumbai customers, she brought this concept to Udaipur. Talking about the Covid19 lockdown phase
she said that her business was hampered and the business got down since the people were scared to come out of their houses and interact with others. So, after a while, they took the entire date concept to their customer’s house and named them Home Dates. It was a very tough time but they managed all of it at the client’s balcony, terrace, garden, etc abiding by strict COVID19 protocols. Luckily people started to support them. She believes in the ideology of - “Just do it”. Her business helps restaurants, cafes to attain fame and customer experience. She says that with respect to time, her learning phase is still ON, she does hit and trials, keeps doing the things as nothing is easy and at the end achieves her milestones. Talking about education and Experience, she says that education is a must in today’s world, but personal experience keeps the person going smoothly.
Being a leader comes with time and the synchronization among the team members is very important. Her role model is her mom and dad as she has seen them from her childhood as entrepreneurs and they inspire her a lot to achieve well in life.
If she got a chance to go back in the past she would add practicality in her life, with some sense of mature and fair decision-maker. She loves to travel and to meet new people. She has touched almost every part of India. Her favorite actor is Salman Khan. Her life mantra is - “Life is too short to take it seriously!”
