Adnan Qutub (Charted Accountant - Deloitte)
“It’s not over until I will” - Flying isn’t for everyone, like darkness succumbs the absence of light yet stars brighten up the sky every night.
Adnan Kutub is a CA by profession whose hometown is Udaipur. He is currently living in Mumbai. He is working as an Indirect Tax Assistant Manager in Deloitte. His prime work is to help the MNCs with GST matters. Adnan is the only child of his parents and has grown amidst challenges. Remembering his childhood memories he smiles at the times when he used to play cricket and hide & seek with his friends and explore the beauty of Udaipur. His parents wanted to give him a quality education so he got enrolled in St. Gregarious Convent School, but later on, shifted to Kendriya Vidhyalaya due to the financial crisis. His mother was a teacher and his father was a mechanic by profession. At the age of 6, Adnan was sitting with his father in a communal ceremony, and they were insulted and forced to leave that place by the community members because they were poor. That day Adnan realized his hardships and aimed high to do his best and stand first in anything he does whether a scholastic activity, sports, co-curricular, etc. He worked efficiently to build his future, unlike his past. At 9th standard, his family’s condition deteriorated and daily essentials were managed for Adnan’s school tiffin only. It was very hard for his family to pay his school’s fee and he could not afford any external coaching. He wanted to become an engineer but could not become one and converted his condition’s anger into hard work and achieved excellence. He attained a good score in 12th and stood 3rd at Udaipur in CPT. To complete his IPCC he started to work at his
aunt’s office and opened a small business of worshipping material with his family. The entire earnings and savings out of this business got invested in his IPCC coaching, and eventually, he cleared that too. He has seen bad times, and today stands with zero regrets and is thankful to his hardships for what he is today. In the COVID19 lockdown phase, he was stuck in Mumbai, but after a while came back to Udaipur. He enjoys working from home, enjoying ™ with family and lost friends. If someone wants to be a CA, then they should never lose hope, hard work, and be dedicated towards the goal. Some of his habits are reading, cycling, playing cricket, and singing. He believes in the fact that Education and experience go hand in hand. His role model is Michael Jordan as he has a working ethic and is hard working. If he got a chance to go back in time, then he would live the memories back. His mother inspires him the most as he has grown in a family where an army of women lives and has achieved a lot in their lives. He ends by - “It’s not over until I will”.
